Are T-CELLS and B-CELLS destroyers?

Some T-cells travel through the bloodstream to nearby lymph nodes to spread the word of the invasion.  There they contact B-cells and killer T-cells genetically programmed to react to any particular virus.

The killer T-cells leave the node an migrate to the site of infection.  Using their specialized receptors, they attach to the surface of the infected cells and this happens under direct control of the innate intelligence of the body.

Less than a minute after contact, the T-cell delivers a chemical signal to the target cell, which results in its destruction hours later.  Meanwhile the T-cell moves on to destroy other infected  cells.

Amazing isn’t it?
